Meet Bree Smith

Founder & Wellness Educator, Bountiful Health & Wellness

Some leaders are called to accomplish a mission. Others are called to care for the people entrusted to that mission.

In many ways, Bree Smith’s life and calling mirror that of a First Sergeant—the visible, trusted leader who serves as the vital link between leadership and the people they are called to serve. A First Sergeant is responsible for the readiness, health, welfare, morale, development, and well-being of those under their care. They identify challenges before they become crises, mentor others toward growth, and ensure that people are equipped to thrive rather than merely survive.

This same heart of service has defined Bree’s life and professional journey.

For more than two decades, Bree has dedicated her life to helping individuals overcome barriers, discover hope, and experience transformation. Her passion was profoundly shaped in 2005 while working as a Medical Social Worker, where she witnessed countless individuals facing physical pain, emotional distress, chronic illness, and hopelessness as their health declined. As she sought answers for her own wellness challenges, she discovered a deeper truth: true healing extends beyond the physical body and requires addressing the whole person—spirit, soul, and body.

What began as a personal pursuit of wellness soon became a lifelong mission to educate, empower, and inspire others.

Bree’s desire to serve people was cultivated long before her professional career began. Growing up in Northwest Indiana, she regularly volunteered alongside her family, developing a deep compassion for those in need. She later earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Indiana State University and a Master of Social Work in Healthcare from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Throughout her career, Bree has served diverse populations in hospitals, homeless shelters, community centers, schools, and nonprofit organizations. In addition, she brings more than six years of experience supporting senior leaders and executives as an Administrative and Executive Assistant. In these roles, she became known as a trusted partner who anticipated needs, solved problems before they escalated, coordinated complex initiatives, and helped leaders remain focused on their mission. This experience strengthened her ability to lead with excellence, communicate effectively, and serve others with both compassion and strategic insight.

Yet it was in 2007, after completing a life-changing nutrition course, that she was introduced to the world of holistic wellness. The experience transformed her understanding of health and ignited a passion to help others reclaim their lives through education, practical tools, and faith-centered wellness principles.

As her understanding deepened, so did her burden for those struggling physically, emotionally, and spiritually. She became committed to helping individuals break free from cycles of unhealthy living and discover God’s design for abundant life.

In 2013, following God’s direction, Bree attended Joseph Business School in Forest Park, Illinois. During that season, Bountiful Health & Wellness was born—a Christ-centered wellness ministry and business dedicated to helping individuals steward their health through the integration of faith, mindset, nutrition, and lifestyle transformation.

Today, Bree serves as an educator, author, wellness advocate, and founder of Bountiful Health & Wellness. Drawing from her background in healthcare, psychology, social work, executive leadership support, and biblical wellness education, she equips individuals to cultivate healthier lifestyles that honor God and promote lasting transformation.

Her mission extends beyond helping people achieve temporary health goals; she is passionate about creating generational impact by equipping individuals and families with the knowledge, tools, and biblical foundations needed to live healthier, fuller lives.

At the heart of everything Bree does is a simple conviction: people deserve more than symptom management—they deserve hope, healing, and the opportunity to flourish in spirit, soul, and body.

One conversation. One family. One divine appointment at a time.
