I was listening to a Podcast by Pastor Michael Todd, called “Crazy Faith” and I could tell that it was reigniting and recharging something in me…faith.Faith can be a complex concept to grasp, however once it’s understood and applied, the more effective it will be in your life. The Bible states that “for without faith it is impossible to please God: for he that cometh to God must believe the He is, and that He is a rewarded of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). For us to even believe in God, it takes faith, and if you do, count it a joy as it is evidence that faith is presentJSome years ago, while in prayer, God revealed that the Word of God is like ointment. Much like you would apply ointment to a wound, you have confidence (or faith) that that neosporin or whatever you use, is going to respond according to what the label says it will do. Well, when we take the infallible Word of God and apply it our life situation (s), to help our human minds comprehend, we can also use this same analogy. The Bible states, that
“God is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should repent: Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good and fulfill it?” (Numbers 23:19).
“Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). (If it was true at the beginning of time, it’s true now)
“So shall My Word be that goeth out of My mouth, it shall not return void, but shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto it was sent” (Isaiah 55:11)
God is only obligated to prosper His word (the scriptures). The Bible is very clear in expressing that God can be trusted and is Sovereign, our life circumstances shouldn’t change that even when we don’t understand.
I would implore you trust the Living God, for He is faithful.
What are you in faith for today?
Find a scripture and apply it to your situation, standing in faith that “His Word”, not according to our own understanding is what will produce fruit.
